The body’s fuel

This subpage on the body’s fuel constitutes the third part of the theory for Biotech Academy’s material on the Body and the Diet.

 

The body is a complex machine and like all machines, the body needs fuel to function. Food contains the nutrients proteins, carbohydrates and fats and it is precisely these that provide fuel for the body.

Some of the nutrients the body needs to a greater extent than others. It also doesn’t matter which carbohydrates you eat the most of. To learn more about what the body uses as fuel, you can read about the different nutrients and vitamins here:
